Club Biscuit Advert

The advert I decided to recreate was the second half of "Club biscuit". To recreate this, my group planed out all of the different shots, and wrote down all of the props that we would need, for example a drum, a dog, and a green screen. Once we had everything planned out, we gathered all of our props (mainly from the drama studio) and then we decided to take all of the videos on our phones so that the camera quality remained the same. We started by filming the short clips which only need one person in them, for example JD playing the drums at the very start. Once we had completed all of those, we needed a few extra people to help us film the clips with multiple people, this was for the running clip and also the skaters around Tom pushing the chair. Our last clip that we took was the green screen. We sellotaped 4 pieces of green paper together and filmed Tom punching through it with a club bar. All of our filming was then complete.

To edit all of our clips together, we used the programme "Premier Pro 2021". Before adding all of our clips, we had to put the original advert that we were recreating in the bottom right corner to allow us to get the timings right. For most of my editing, I was using the cutting tool to get each clip the right size and dragging it to ensure it was at the right time. One of my biggest obstacles when editing was getting the green screen to work. I had to overlap the two clips and change the colour so that it would be the same as the original video.

Overall, I think that our advert recreation went very well as we were able to get all of the clips with all of the props included, even though some weren't the exact same, we were still able to make it work. Additionally, all of our videos matched up in time with the original advert. If I was to redo this, I would make the background of some clips look more like the advert as some of them had crowds of people. For example in the last clip of the park, we could have filmed the film at lunch time when it looks more busy.
